I’ve been trying since yesterday morning (Thursday) to leave a comment of condolence for Dan Miller, on the “Condolence” link. I’ve had no luck due to overwhelming activity. I’ve tried to leave a message of condolence on Dan Miller’s blog, also, with the same result…not being able to.
I am asking if you would please pass this email on, forward it to the correct place, or whatever is necessary. I would appreciate it if you would, and would be extremely grateful.
Dan Miller…what can one say…I watched him in CA, when I lived there, and began watching him again, when I retired to TN, three years ago. It was wonderful to see his face.
He was the ultimate professional, yet also a person of humanity, who told the news with respect, caring and concern. He recognized the humanistic aspect of news journalism.
My deepest condolences go out to his family, and to his WSMV family. He will be missed, more than words can articulate.
Hi Jennifer;
I loved the shirt you were wearing on the 6:30 pm news tonight.
it was a v neck print in coral shade.
Do you sk where you got the shirt?
It was so adorable and flattering on you.
Thank you;
Pam
I saw Jennifer Johnson on the 6:30 news tonight and was wondering if you might be pregnant? It looked to me the outfit you were wearing was a little loose fitting. Was just curious!
Not that I know of Joi! Don’t feel bad though. When I got home tonight my daughter said, “mommy you look like you have a belly in that dress.” That one will be burned. LOL
Jennifer: You always look so professional and personable. I always watch to see what you will be wearing and consider your style trendy yet professional. Which leads to my question – do you have a stylist or do your clothes come from your personal closet? Where are some of your favorite places to shop and what are your favorite labels?
By the way, don’t listen to those people that speak/type negatively about your makeup and hair. They wouldn’t know style if it bit them on the back side!
Thanks Stacy! I can’t really take credit. Two months ago a store called “The Cotton Mill” in Green Hills started providing all of my clothes. It has really helped, as “dressing the part of an anchor” can get very expensive. LOL If you’ve never been there, you should go. I’m in love with their stuff.
My favorite designers are Milly, Nicole Miller and Diane Von Furstenberg or “DVF” as those in the know apparently call it. My favorite stores besides Cotton Mill are Off 5th, Banana Republic, and the new BCBG outlet at Opry Mills. I get almost all of my jewelry and accessories at Target along with other casual items. The only casual I’ll really splurge on is the 3 dot t-shirt line. They’re expensive, but worth it!
I enjoy keeping up with your blog and also watching you on the evening news. Even though I’m old enough to be your mom, the stories about your family remind me of my family. We are a little whacked out too, which makes it all the more fun!
Don’t pay any attention to your critics. Those who can, do, and those who cannot, criticize. You do a great job, and you always look beautiful. I do love the new Cotton Mill clothes.
I’ve been a Channel 4 viewer all of my life, and I’m almost 62 now. You are a great asset to the station and to our community.
Thanks Linda! I’m with you. I actually ENJOY the chaos that is my life. I wouldn’t know what to do if things ran smoothly. I’d probably die of boredom.
I love, love, love my new clothes from Cotton Mill. It’s like an adventure every week seeing what they’re going to have waiting for me in the dressing room.
Thanks so much for the words of encouragement and for watching the show!
I love reading your blogs and seeing you on Channel 40 News. I have lived in Nahville since 1985 and has been watching Channel 4 since. I enjoy the way you deliver the news. Have a gret day abd keep smiling.
Jennifer:
I think I was on the same flight as you from Orlando today at 5:05. I was just wondering if it was you. I kept looking, I was going to ask but decided not to so you didn’t think I was a freak. LOL
Just saw Cynthia’s report on Opryland. Wasnt there a few alligators in one the ponds ? Curious as to what happend to them. Great job on teh coverage. Keep it up
Jennifer, I really appreciate your extremely human and down-to-earth sense of humor and commentary! It’s just too bad that so many people feel that smiling in the face of crisis belittles and does not help in the healing of a terrible situation! Please continue to be the YOU that so many of us NEED and LOVE! You are a blessing in all the negative that overshadows our lives! God Bless You!
FYI: RECEIVE is constantly misspelled in your Headlines – remember it’s “i after e except after c”.
Thanks again – you make so many of us smile each day at noon!
Sorry to hear about your dad. The wife and I always enjoyed seeing him at Mason’s. We had the pleasure of eating with your parents a couple of times at the “family table”. May God comfort you and your family during this period.
sort of ironic how the last blog is what happened to tom sellers?? as a channel 4 faithful viewer, i can say he is not missed. the channel 4 team is news savvy, spunky and pleasant to listen to ..tom was not. to describe it best,,,his reports were like gravel roads, never smooth. please keep your blogs going. renee
Hi Jenniifer,
I have just discovered your blogs and wanted to let you know how much I enjoy them You have hit on a lot of topics that I am familiar with myself. Loss of your father, divorce, trying to please people at the expense of your family, eccentricities (you mention o.c.d., mine is depression and anxiety), turning 40, all delivered with a dose of humor. It really shows the personal side of a public figure and that there is more to you than just what we see on the news. Keep up the good work and I look forward to reading more from you.
Hey Jennifer,
Like Marty I just discovered your blogs and enjoy them very much. Your life experiences are similar to mine, divorce, loss of a loved one (my second wife almost five years ago) and just the daily life experience. I too know how precious life is and how it can be here one minute and gone the next. I enjoy watching you on the news and also seeing the “human” side of you. Keep up the great work!
hello jenifer remeber the burlinton mall you where doing your news cast and you saw a little girl that needs a heart transplant well i am her brother and we got on the news but i cant find the video

I must write to tell you how offended I was by your comments today on Midday.
YOU were destroyed by Opry Mills closing due to the floods? Really? Destroyed?
How about all the employees and their families? Their lives WERE destroyed!
Times are hard enough without someone who is on TV to say something so insensitive.
Please do us all a favor and think before you speak next time… your life has NOT been destroyed, and I am offended that you would say so.

SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS. I MET YOUR DAD IN 1998 WHEN I WAS IN NASHVILLE ED HUNT. HE HAD ME LAUGHING THE ENTIRE TIME WE WERE THERE. HE WAS A GREAT GUY.
Thanks Joe! So fun to hear from people who actually knew him. You can appreciate this blog more than anyone. What a piece of work he was.
